Before you order.
What does the candle price include?
See the price on each vessel card for a complete 10 oz. candle: the vessel, your chosen scent, the pour, and a cotton wick. A wood wick is +$3. Indiana sales tax (7%) is calculated and displayed in your cart and at checkout.
When is my vessel reserved?
Choose your scent and wick, add your candle to the cart, and pay securely with Stripe. Your vessel is held while you pay and sold when payment succeeds. Scott pours after your order.
Can I reuse the concrete vessel?
Yes. Once the remaining wax is safely removed and the vessel is cleaned, use it for décor, small items, or as a planter with a suitable liner.
When will my candle arrive?
Made-to-order candles need 2–3 days preparation; ready-made-only orders need 4 hours. Deliveries run on Saturdays within Evansville city limits: free on orders $25.00+ and $5.00 below that. Orders placed too close to Saturday move to the following Saturday. Pickup is arranged with Scott; contact him for addresses outside city limits. See delivery details

I’m Scott, the maker behind SJS Homemade. Here in Evansville, I bring two hands-on crafts together: concrete vessels and small-batch candles.
The city we call home sits along the Ohio River. Our pieces belong in the homes around it—on your coffee table, in a friend’s new place, or beside the chair where you finally slow down.
Every concrete vessel has its own character. When the candle is finished, that character stays: as a catchall, a décor piece, or a new home for a little plant with a suitable liner.
